Panathinaikos will host Aris in the 17th round, and as things stand, Ergin Ataman is facing a serious headache.
Juancho Hernangomez suffered a thumb injury during training, initially not appearing serious until swelling occurred. According to the latest information from Athens, the Spaniard will undergo additional examinations on Tuesday to determine the extent of the injury.
It’s worth noting that Hernangomez already had a finger injury on his left hand earlier this season, which kept him off the court for over a month.
Mathias Lessort and Ioannis Papapetrou are also out of training due to a virus and will not be part of the ‘Greens’ lineup for the game against Aris.
Panathinaikos remains undefeated in the Greek league, and it is highly likely that they will finish the regular season as the leader (16-0). The team’s first upcoming challenge in the EuroLeague will be on Friday when they face Fenerbahce.
