Mitchell Robinson had already suffered an injury to that ankle in December, requiring surgery. He missed a total of 50 games due to that injury and returned to the court at the end of March.
In the series against the Philadelphia 76ers, Robinson played 5 out of 6 games. He missed one due to an injury he suffered after a duel with Joel Embiid. The center expressed his disappointment on social media X, clearly stating his frustration over the new injury.
Robinson ended the season with 5.6 points and 8.5 rebounds in 31 games played in the regular season. In the NBA playoffs, he had slightly lower statistics, with 2.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 6 games played.
