Kevin Punter is one of the best players in Europe, and now his own brother Kieffer has arrived on its soil.
As exclusively was reported by BasketballSphere, Kieffer Punter commited to one-year deal with Donji Vakuf. The team from Bosnia and Herzegovina did excellent marketing, considering that the whole of Europe was talking about this signing.
Clearly, the reason was Kevin, who publicly congratulated his brother on his first European engagement. In an interview with MeridianSport, Punter revealed that he follows the EuroLeague because of his brother, but also that three other names caught his eye:
“I’ve been following the EuroLeague for two years, although I haven’t been able to watch it too often, primarily because of the time difference. Last season I tried to devote myself as much as possible to this competition, but I can’t say that I am familiar with all the players in such detail.
I will say a few things though. Besides Kevin, I would point out Shabazz Napier. I’m waiting to see where Dwayne Bacon will end up, but the guy whose games I’m particularly interested in is Kyle Guy. I’ve followed him for a while with Juventud, so I’m interested to see how he can play at a higher level with Panathinaikos.”
About his new club, Punter points out that this is all new for him, but he will try to do everything necessary for succes:

USA's best players won't be there, but this is still the most talented roster in the tournament.
Four years ago, they were shockingly eliminated by France.

“All this will be something new for me. Of course, I followed Kevin’s career and approach to things, which actually introduced me to European basketball.
I am very excited because I got the opportunity to learn and create my own path in Europe, starting with Bosnia and Herzegovina. I’m looking forward to getting to know the differences in culture and basketball, and I will try to fit in and develop in my own way.”
Standing at 195cm tall, Punter plays as a guard, with the ability to serve as a secondary playmaker. He boasts a high basketball IQ, versatility in offense, and the capability to create his own shots.
