Brazilian basketball star, Raul Neto, is off the free agency market after signing with Fenerbahce.
Turkish giant and former NBA player negotiated a one year deal with an option of extending for another one. In the season behind us, Neto was a member of Cleveland Cavaliers where he averaged 3.3 points, 2.6 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game in 48 appearances.

Raul Neto made his NBA debut back in 2015, and he gathered a noticeable experience with 435 games in total. His career averages are far better than in 2022-23 season, with 6.1 points and 2.1 assists coming from the bench.
He was also included in initial squad for Brazilian national team and it is expected for him to make the final twelve-men roster for Mundobasket. Brazil will play in Group G, with Spain, Iran and Côte d’Ivoire as rivals.
This signing paints us a better picture of next season’s plans for team from Ataşehir and status of Nick Calathes. Experienced Greek international was already on the brink of leaving Dimitris Itoudis’s team, and Neto’s arrival will probably be the last nail in the coffin of his stint with Fenerbahce. Competition was already fierce with the signing of Yam Madar, and this means that Calathes will be free in searching for his next home. Olimpia Milano was mentioned as the potential candidate, but there were no concrete details of any possible deal.
