Carlos Alocen is set to part ways with Real Madrid after a four-year tenure, as revealed on the club’s official website.
Prior to his multi-year stint with Real Madrid, the talented point guard showcased his skills at Zaragoza.
“Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost gratitude and affection to Carlos Alocen for his exemplary behavior and dedication during his time wearing our jersey and wishes him the best of luck in the new phase of his career,” the club stated in their announcement.
During the previous EuroLeague season, Alocen had minimal impact on Chus Mateo’s team, averaging just 1.5 points per game.
During his time at Real Madrid, Carlos Alocen faced significant injury issues. In early 2022, he suffered a left knee ligament injury, which sidelined him for as long as 22 months.
Alocen was named the best young player of the Liga Endesa for two consecutive years (2019 and 2020).
