Real Madrid easily secured their fourth win in the fourth round of the Liga Endesa. They defeated Girona on the road by 93-74.
Real Madrid made it clear right from the start that they were determined to win. They played aggressively, had solid defense, and found easy scoring opportunities in the offense. By halftime, they had built a significant lead of 45-28.
In the third quarter, they decisively broke the game open, heading into the final 10 minutes with a whopping 36-point lead at 88-52. In the last quarter, they eased up a bit, allowing the home team to narrow the gap to a respectable 93-74.
Dzanan Musa was Real Madrid’s top scorer with 14 points, followed by Guerschon Yabusele with 13, Mario Hezonja with 12, Sergio Llull with 11, and Vincent Poirier with 10 points.
On the home team, Ike Iroegbu led with 17 points, while Gyorgy Goloman contributed 10 points.
In the next round, Real Madrid will play at home against the Murcia.
Baskonia also secured a road victory, defeating Granada by 90-81. The visitors controlled the game from the beginning and secured a routine win.
Chima Moneke had an outstanding performance, scoring 26 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Serbian basketball player Vanja Marinkovic followed closely with 19 points, and Matt Costello contributed 11. In the Granada team, David Kramer and Joe Thomasson both scored 14 points.
Valencia won at home against Obradoiro by 85-79. The standout player for the winning team was Brandon Davies with 19 points, while Chris Jones and Kassius Robertson each added 13. Stefan Jovic recorded five points, four rebounds, and 10 assists.
Former Barcelona center Artem Pustovyi led the guests with 16 points. Eric Washington scored 13 points.
