Real Madrid defeated Valencia by 95:76 in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey.
Real Madrid started the game better than their opponents and took an early lead by 19:6. Valencia made a 7:0 run towards the end of the first quarter, narrowing the deficit by 23:17. Alex Mumbru‘s team played better in the second quarter, reducing the deficit to just three points (38:35). Real Madrid ended the first half with a 6:0 run, giving them a nine-point advantage (48:39).
During the third quarter, Real Madrid went on a 13:0 run, extending their lead to 22 points (66:44). Valencia struggled to find solutions on offense, trailing by 25 points heading into the final 10 minutes (80:55). Mumbru’s team played slightly better in the fourth quarter compared to their opponents, but it wasn’t enough to stage a comeback and secure the win.
Dzanan Musa was the top scorer for Real Madrid with 18 points. Brandon Davies stood out for Valencia with 18 points as well.
Real Madrid will play in the final against the winner of the Barcelona – Tenerife game.
