Monaco regains the top spot for budget in the French league, exceeding the previous season’s record. Asvel’s team takes second place with a substantial budget.
The directorate for consultation and management control of professional clubs has presented the budgets and salaries of all 18 LNB league clubs for the 2023/2024 season, as reported by Bebasket.
Monaco stands out at the top with a new record budget of 27.5 million euros, surpassing the previous record of 20.7 million euros from the previous season.
The player salaries in the team are also the highest in the history of the French league, totaling 13.1 million euros.
The second EuroLeague team in France, Asvel, takes second place with a budget of 21 million euros and player salaries amounting to 7.2 million euros.
Paris has also raised the bar for its budget, which now stands at 9,250,000 euros, compared to 6,500,000 euros from the previous season.”
Three French clubs have reduced their scope compared to the previous year: Metropolitans 92 reduced their budget from 7.3 million euros to 5.6 million euros, Limoges from 6.5 million euros to 6.1 million euros, and Strasbourg reduced their budget from 6.96 million euros to 6.88 million euros.
