Roger Grimau summed up the initial impressions after the Game 4 of the EuroLeague quarterfinal series against Olympiacos in Piraeus.
After managing to secure a break and take a 2-1 lead in the previous game, Barcelona today didn’t even come close to the performance from two days ago. This is best reflected in the 92:58 defeat they suffered, giving the impression that everything was over by halftime, with Roger Grimau and the players already mentally on the plane to Barcelona for the decider.
“We could have done everything better. We didn’t play defense as we should have, nor did we in offense. I take responsibility. We couldn’t recover from the second quarter. After that, they stopped us, imposed their rhythm. In the second half, we tried to get some good shots, but we missed. They played better,” said Roger Grimau.
What the Barcelona head coach aimed for was undoubtedly the 17:0 run at the beginning of the second quarter, which completely determined the course of the game.
