Russell Westbrook will remain with the Los Angeles Clippers as the player decided to accept his player option.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Westbrook activated his $4 million player option and has returned to the team.
Aged 35, the versatile guard first joined the Clippers in 2022, which is his sixth team in the NBA. Previously he played with the Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Washington Wizards, and the Houston Rockets.
He has been playing in the league since 2008, starting with an 11-year stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He won the 2017 MVP and made it to the NBA Finals back in 2012 with this team.
As the Clippers’ sixth man, Russell Westbrook had averages of 10.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists this year.
