Rytas defeated BC Wolves in Game 5 of the Lithuanian Basketball League semifinal series by 92:86, thus securing their spot in the final against Zalgiris.
The entire match was tense. From start to finish, both teams played basket for basket. No one could establish a significant run that could sway the course of the game. Rytas could have let the lead slip away as the “Wolves” fought to turn the game around. However, the final moments proved decisive, and Zibenasa’s team booked their duel with the rivals from Kaunas.
Marcus Foster led the charge with 20 points, followed closely by Martynas Echodas with 20 points. On the other side, Regimantas Miniotas scored 25 points, while Arturs Zagars contributed 14 points.
So, the final will feature the rivals Rytas and Zalgiris. This marks the second consecutive time these two teams will meet in the grand final.
