In a recent update from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, it’s confirmed that Alex Len will continue his tenure with the Sacramento Kings for another year.
Securing Alex Len on a minimum contract represents a prudent move for the Kings. Despite efforts to upgrade their backup center position, Len consistently proves himself as a dependable option.

Last season, he appeared in 48 games, averaging 2.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0.7 blocks in just under 10 minutes per game. While these statistics may not dazzle, Len boasted the highest net rating among Kings players with regular minutes, finishing with an impressive 15.4.
Looking ahead, the Kings may explore additional frontcourt depth in NBA free agency, possibly to replace JaVale McGee. While McGee’s return remains uncertain, maintaining Len ensures reliable support behind Domantas Sabonis.
