Sasa Obradovic shared his impressions after Monaco’s crucial victory over Bayern in the 34th round of the EuroLeague.
The Serbian coach emphasized that his team achieved a good result at the end of the regular season but expects a lot of work ahead in the battle for their highest goals.
“I am very happy with all the accomplishments so far in this season. The team, organization, coaching staff… Everyone has done their part in the best possible way. A significant achievement has already been made, we have more wins compared to the previous season. Of course, now we face the tougher part of the job. This is a great achievement, but as I said, the playoffs are ahead of us, which is a completely different competition.
We played against a team that had nothing to lose, no pressure of winning or losing. In our case, it was different. In the end, we found a way to get the victory. I believe that during this period, we can finish the job even in the LNB Pro A by maintaining the top spot in the standings. Congratulations to my team on this achievement.”
Sasa Obradovic emphasizes that there are no easy games in the EuroLeague playoffs, and it doesn’t matter who the opponent is.
“Whoever it may be, it will be… Playoff series are such that you have to fight, there are no easy games there, it’s a new level of physicality and athleticism. I believe that we have learned some things from the previous season; we talked especially after the Final Four… For many of them, it was their first experience of that kind.”
