Sasa Obradovic summed up the initial impressions after the Game 4 of the EuroLeague quarterfinal series against Fenerbahce in Istanbul.
The French team celebrated by 65:62 after a thrilling finish in which the heroes were Donta Hall and Mike James. Fenerbahce had a chance to win, but Scottie Wilbekin missed, allowing Monaco to tie the series at 2-2 and force the decisive game in the Principality.
It is worth mentioning that this was only Fenerbahce’s third loss in their home arena in the EuroLeague this season. Previously, they were defeated only by Anadolu Efes and Crvena Zvezda, and now by Monaco.
“Yakuba Outtara made a great contribution. Everyone is giving their maximum both offensively and defensively,” said Sasa Obradovic, then chuckled at a sentence and continued:
“It’s wonderful to be the coach of this team. I hope we’ll use our home court advantage that we fought for in the regular season. I think we’ve learned a lot from these four games, and I hope we won’t repeat the same mistakes in the fifth game.”
The series now moves to Monaco, where Sasa Obradovic’s team will host the Turkish team in the decider on Wednesday. The only team that has made it to the Final Four so far is Real Madrid.
