Monaco’s guard Jordan Loyd is one of the most sought-after players on the market, as discussed by Monaco’s head coach Sasa Obradovic.
One of the key contributors to Monaco’s successes, including their recent LNB Pro A trophy, is the former Crvena Zvezda player. Jordan Loyd left a significant mark in the red and white jersey, and his form in Monaco has been equally impressive.
“Fantastic guy. He’s had a lot of issues with injuries, especially his back. At one point, it was a big question whether he could continue playing basketball. He managed to overcome these problems and help this team. I know many covet and move him. I’m happy for him, although it’s not easy when you read every other day that you’re moving to one club or another. It’s all exhausting and stressful. If people knew what players go through, I don’t think they’d write about them so casually,” emphasized Obradovic to Mozzartsport.
The Serbian coach also addressed the team structure.
“I hear stories about our budget, about these players, about those players. These are all funny stories. Only club insiders know our budget, and out of respect for them, I won’t disclose it. We lost some players from last season. Just look at Chima Moneke. He was with us last season, and now he’s a revelation in EuroLeague. We had huge injury problems, an experiment with Kemba Walker, but in the end, we’re champions, and that’s what matters most,” Obradovic stated clearly.
