“At the moment, I can only say that I am a player for the Toronto Raptors. We haven’t had any discussions yet. Last season wasn’t the easiest for me, but I am working hard and feeling good. I don’t know how long I’ll stay in Bulgaria, this summer is somewhat special. I am spending more time in Greece due to an injury, getting treatment there, and we’ll see what happens. I am trying to focus as much as possible on myself,” Sasha Vezenkov told just few days ago.
The Bulgarian, who started his career in Greece, did not make a significant impact last year in the Sacramento Kings’ jersey. During the regular season, he played in 42 games (none as a starter) and averaged 12.2 minutes per game, with 5.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.5 assists.
Sasha Vezenkov spent five years in the red-and-white jersey. The highlight came in 2023 when he won the regular season MVP award. He played in two Final Fours, while being in one final, which Olympiacos lost against Real Madrid.
