Sasha Vezenkov made his debut in a Sacramento Kings jersey with a significant contribution, but his team was defeated by the Toronto Raptors with a score of 112:99.
The Bulgarian international scored 12 points and grabbed two rebounds in 11 minutes on the court. He made four of seven field goal attempts.
“It’s always different to play compared to watching the NBA on television. This was our first preseason game. We are still trying to piece together all the puzzle pieces and play better.
Obviously, the result isn’t the best, but we believe in our process and training. We still have a lot of things to improve on before the start of the NBA season,” said Sasha Vezenkov and continued:
“I work hard every day; there simply is no other way. You have to deal with it. Ups and downs, it’s all part of the game. I don’t expect to be at my peak from day one. I have to keep training every day, stay focused, and help the team. I’ll try to get better and better.”
Before NBA, Vezenkov played for Aris Thessaloniki, Barcelona and Olympiacos, where he was for five years.
