Spain’s 12-man roster includes: Lorenzo Brown, Jaime Pradilla, Santi Aldama, Willy Hernangomez, Juancho Hernangomez, Sergio Llull, Rudy Fernandez, Usman Garuba, Juan Nunez, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui, Dario Brizuela, Alberto Diaz.
Also, coach Sergio Scariolo’s main assets will be Lorenzo Brown, who led Spain to win in the 2022 EuroBasket, and the Hernangomez brothers, who always deliver excellent performances for the national team.
Rudy Fernandez will retire from professional basketball this summer, so if the Spanish national team fails to qualify for the Olympic Games, this would be the last tournament for the legendary Spaniard.
In addition to Lebanon, Spain will also be grouped with Angola, and the top two teams will advance to the semifinals. The other group consists of the Bahamas, Poland, and Finland, making it clear that the host team will be a strong favorite to qualify for the Olympic Games.
