Stefan Jovic has been rewarded for his excellent performances during the World Cup. The Serbian national team player has officially become a member of Valencia.
Stefan Jovic was one of the key players for Serbia at the recently concluded World Cup. The “Eagles” unexpectedly reached the final, where Germany prevailed with an 83-77 victory.
His outstanding performances at the tournament in Manila allowed Jovic to return to the big stage and sign a contract with a team that will be playing in the EuroLeague next season.
After the FIBA World Cup ended, there were speculations that Stefan Jovic could once again play in the EuroLeague. This has been confirmed by Valencia itself, which announced on its website that it has reached an agreement with the Serbian basketball player.
Jović has had a diverse career. He played for Sloga Kraljevo, and his performances for Radnicki Kragujevac caught the attention of Crvena zvezda. In the red and white jersey, he achieved significant success, winning the ABA League and Serbian championships three times each, as well as participating in the EuroLeague playoffs.
After his time with Crvena zvezda, the Serbian point guard went abroad, playing for Bayern, Khimki, and Panathinaikos. Numerous injuries hampered his progress, and last season he returned to basketball with Zaragoza.
Now, he will once again compete in the EuroLeague, using his experience to help the Spanish team.
