“Steve Kerr, the coach of the Golden State Warriors and the head coach of the USA national team, will step down from his role with the national team after the Olympics next year.
One of the most successful NBA coaches will not continue to lead the national team from the sidelines. This news was confirmed to Joe Vardon of The Athletic.”
“For me, it represents a two-year cycle. Pop led the team at the World Cup and at the Olympics. Now it’s my turn to pass the baton,” began the former Chicago Bulls point guard.
Now, several NBA superstars have expressed their desire to play in the upcoming Olympics. Stephen Curry has done so, and Kerr mentioned his player as well.
“We only briefly discussed whether he wants to play. Believe it or not, we haven’t had a longer conversation about it. The focus is currently solely on the Warriors,” concluded Steve Kerr.”
