Strasbourg secured a win in the first round of the new season of the FIBA Champions League by defeating Oldenburg in overtime with a score of 85-83.
The new season of the FIBA Champions League has begun. On the first day, the most interesting and competitive game took place in Oldenburg, where Strasbourg secured a win after overtime.
In the additional five minutes, the guests secured the win, thanks to accurate free throws by Leo Cavaliere and former Buducnost player Phil Booth.
Cavaliere and Booth were the top performers for their team, each contributing 15 points. On the other side, DeWayne Russell scored 17 points.
Former champions of this competition, Tenerife, secured a home win against Cholet with a 20-point difference, ending with a score of 95-75.
Sasu Salin was outstanding, scoring 25 points (8/9 from three-point range), followed by Joan Sastre with 15 points. Tidjane Salaun was the top scorer for the visitors with 15 points.
The Le Mans team also recorded a comfortable home win against Peristeri, winning by a margin of 28 points, with a final score of 96-68. DeVante’ Jones led the winners with 18 points, while Nate Mason scored one point less. Jaylen Hands was the top scorer for Vasilis Spanoulis’ team with 18 points.
