T.J. Parker, the now former coach of Asvel, spoke to the French media about the entire situation and how his brother Tony delivered the dismissal.
Italian coach Gianmarco Pozzecco has taken his place, and T.J. Parker lost his job due to poor results at the start of the new competitive year. However, he doesn’t have much to blame his much more famous brother, who is the majority owner of Asvel.
“I can only thank him. He put me on the bench, but that’s the life of a coach. You have to know how to quickly dedicate yourself to something else. Of course, we are family, and we have always kept things under control. Nothing will change our relationship. Of course, we’ve talked, and we took the kids to a concert together.
To repeat, I can’t thank him enough, but you have to understand that basketball is my passion. My life. I grew up with it, fell in love with coaching during Tony’s camps. It’s something I love. I’m constantly thinking about basketball. It’s a part of my life,” said T.J. Parker.
