Tadas Sedekerskis, a player of Baskonia, spoke at a press conference for the first time since extending his contract with the Basque club.
The Lithuanian will remain in Vitoria for another five years. His new contract expires in 2029, and the Baskonia captain expresses his pleasure at staying with the team.
“I received many messages, I didn’t expect people to be so thrilled. It shows that people here really love me, and I love them too.
I’ve been here for 11 years, Vitoria is my second home, and I’m very happy. I hope this story continues, and together we will experience much joy,” Tadas Sedekerskis began.
He reminisced about when he first joined the senior team and emphasizes that he always believed he would be an important part of the setup.
“When I moved up to the first team, I was still very young, and I had to be mentally strong because doubts began to arise. I was fortunate to have people around me who supported me a lot, and that helped me believe that I could become an important player for Baskonia.”
Finally, he spoke about the goals for the end of the season:
“I think that if we all stay focused, work hard, believe in ourselves, and don’t lose sight of our goals, we can compete for any trophy.”
