Team USA will arrive at the 2024 Olympic Games in an exceptionally strong squad. It is known which players will fill 11 out of 12 spots on the roster.
Team USA will head to France for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, as The Athletic has confirmed that 11 out of the 12 available spots for Team USA have already been filled by LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton and Jrue Holiday.
“Team USA, aiming for their fifth consecutive Olympic gold in basketball, has selected LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Anthony Edwards, and Tyrese Haliburton,” sources close to the players told The Athletic.
We’ve known about LeBron’s, Durant’s, and Curry’s interest in participating in the Olympic Games since last year, with the trio defining the generation becoming teammates for the first time in what will likely be their last Olympic cycle.
LeBron hasn’t competed in the national team since 2012, while Curry has never played for Team USA in the Olympics. Durant could become the most successful American basketball player, as he competes for his fourth gold medal and has already earned the title of all-time leading scorer for the national team.
