The ABA League has officially announced the penalties for Stefan Lazarevic and James Nunnally regarding their recent incident.
The incident occurred before Game 3 of the ABA League final series, between practice sessions of Belgrade’s “eternal” rivals. Since certain parts of the hallway footage from the “Belgrade Arena” are missing, a clear picture of what exactly happened could not be obtained. Both Lazarevic and Nunnally had to give statements to the authorities.
Neither player participated in Game 3 of the final series, and now the league has made its statement regarding the incident.
Both players have been fined 20,000 euros each and will be suspended for the next three games.
In addition to the participants in this incident, the disciplinary committee of the regional competition also fined Partizan 21,500 euros for poor organization of the game.
As a reminder, these two rivals will face off in the final of the Serbian Super League, with Game 1 of the series scheduled for tonight at 8:00 PM.
