Derrick White has signed a new deal with the Boston Celtics as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has announced first.
The experienced player has signed a new and improved four year deal with the team. It will be worth approximatelly $125.9 million.
Included in this deal is a player option for the final year of the deal. White was instrumental on both sides of the court for Celtics’ championship run, averaging 15.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, 1.0 steals and 2.7 three-pointers.
His proffesional career started with the San Antonio Spurs back in 2017. Five years later he went to the Boston Celtics.
He established himself as a great defender. He was a part of two All-Defensive Second Teams. Derrick White has won the G-League in 2018.
The crown however came this season. The Celtics went on a dominant run towards the title and beat the Dallas Mavericks 4-1 in the NBA Finals.
