The Boston Celtics are the first team to secure a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals of the NBA after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 113:98.
The Celtics triumphed with a 4-1 series victory, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals in grand style. From the very beginning, it was clear which direction the game would take, as the Celtics imposed their rhythm. The absence of Donovan Mitchell for the last two games, along with Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert being out, further complicated matters for the Cavaliers.
Although the Cavaliers managed to stay competitive during the first quarter and much of the second, the Celtics went into halftime with a six-point lead. They solidified their control of the game in the fourth quarter, pulling away for a 15-point victory.
The home team was led to the finals by the fantastic Jayson Tatum, who finished the game with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. Al Horford contributed 22 points, and Derrick White added 18 points. On the other side, Evan Mobley scored 33 points, while Marcus Morris added 25.
The Boston Celtics will await the winner of the series between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers, where the Knicks currently lead 3-2.
