The Dallas Mavericks convincingly defeated the Boston Celtics on their home court, 122:84, reducing the series deficit to 3-1 in the NBA Finals.
The Boston Celtics won the first three games of the series, bringing them within one step of clinching the title. Considering that no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, this could almost be counted as the Mavericks’ 18th title.
From the very start, the Dallas Mavericks managed to establish dominance on the court. They won the first quarter 34:21, creating a significant lead for the rest of the game. They continued in a similar rhythm in the second quarter, which ended with a score of 27:14, bringing the halftime score to 61:35 and effectively deciding the outcome of the game.
A similar story continued in the second half. The Boston Celtics tried to fight back, but the Mavericks had an answer for everything. It was clear that the team from Texas would secure their first win in this Finals, and the Celtics had no response.
The top scorer for the winning team was Luka Doncic with 29 points, followed by Kyrie Irving with 21. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum scored 15 points, while Sam Hauser added 14 off the bench.
Game 5 will be played on the night between Monday and Tuesday, starting at 2:30 AM, with the Boston Celtics hosting as they lead the series 3-1.
