The Toronto Raptors has received two significant additions for the remainder of the season following a trade with the New York Knicks.
The first substantial trade of the new NBA season has taken place. Among the teams involved in the player exchange are the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors, led by Serbian coach Darko Rajakovic.
As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski, OG Anunoby will move to New York, while RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley will head to Canada. This trade has bolstered the team coached by Rajakovic for the rest of the season.
RJ Barrett has played 26 games in the current season, averaging 18.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Immanuel Quickley has played four more games, averaging 15 points per game.
As for OG Anunoby, he was part of the championship-winning Toronto Raptors team that defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals. In the current season, the forward has been averaging 15.1 points.
So far this season, the Toronto Raptors have a record of 12 wins and 19 losses, currently sitting in 12th place. With the addition of two highly talented players, improvement can be expected.
