Tiago Splitter, retired Brazilian basketball player and current figure in coaching, spoke to ‘Eurohoops’ about everything Bruno Caboclo brings to Partizan.
Given the fact that both come from the same country, Tiago Splitter shared a few interesting anecdotes, particularly intriguing for the black-and-white supporters. After a basketball career that earned him an NBA title, he transitioned into coaching. Following a stint with the Brooklyn Nets, he currently serves as an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets.
“Bruno Caboclo is wow! He’s a basketball player we’ve talked a lot about. I think he has finally, in a way, found his game. I believe he has always been individually very good. He can shoot, attack the basket, make spectacular dunks, block shots, run in transition.
Sometimes it takes time to better understand the game itself, tactics, and reading situations on the court. He’s finally playing very well, and I think leaving the NBA shocked him. Now he has somehow awakened, he is a quite talented basketball player. He just needs to focus on his game and improve every day. That’s what he’s been doing lately, and I’m very proud of him,” said Tiago Splitter.
