Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the New York Knicks, spoke at a press conference after being eliminated by the Indiana Pacers.
The New York Knicks missed a great opportunity to advance to the Eastern Conference finals. They suffered a convincing defeat at home against the Indiana Pacers by 109:130. However, head coach Tom Thibodeau emphasized after the game that there’s nothing to complain about after such a season.
“Knowing that this team gave its best effort all year long, I can live with the result. It’s disappointing, but in the end there’s only going to be one happy team. Twenty-nine teams will fall short. This team fought like crazy and there’s no regret.”
The New York Knicks now head for an offseason where the front office will face a number of big decisions. The first of which very well may be the future of head coach Tom Thibodeau, who has one year remaining on his five-year contract. Knicks is expected to engage him in extension talks in the offseason.
“That’s something that my agent will take care of. The Knicks have been great to me. This is where I wanna be“, Thibodeau said.
