Tomas Satoransky, Barcelona player, spoke about the new coach Roger Grimau and his role as a leader in the Spanish club.
The Czech international has praised the new coach of the Spanish champions and mentioned that he likes the style of play that Roger Grimau emphasizes.
“At the moment, I feel very comfortable with the new coaches; we are getting to know each other slowly. We’re waiting for some more players to join and then we’ll start with important games. For now, I can only say positive things about him. I like how he sees basketball and what he allows us to do on the court” Satoransky began.
The Czech international also spoke about his role as a leader. He has embraced that role and points out that he’s been with the team the longest, so it’s a natural thing.
“I’m very grateful that the club believes in me. I’m happy that I’m not just a leader in the national team, where it’s already natural. With Alex Abrines, I’ve been here the longest, so it’s a natural thing,” Tomas Satoransky emphasized.
Finally, he talked about Barcelona’s goals for the upcoming season and remained modest in his prediction.
“It’s a mistake to talk about it before the EuroLeague itself starts. Last year, 12 teams could have won the competition. The format is such, beautiful and challenging at the same time, but I think our chances are good” concluded the longtime Barcelona guard.
