Tornike Shengelia suffered an ankle injury during the game against Valencia, forcing him to leave the game after just six minutes on the court.
Virtus defeated Valencia in Bologna with a score of 87-74, thus maintaining the fourth position in the standings (record: 17 wins and 10 losses).
This morning, Tornike Shengelia underwent additional examinations, including an MRI, which showed no serious injury. Of course, the medical team of the Italian giant will monitor Shengelia’s recovery daily to assess when he will be able to return to the court.
The Georgian international is considered one of Virtus’ best players this EuroLeague season, as evidenced by his averages of 13.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game (PER 17.3).
