Tortona, Dijon, Promitheas, and Strasbourg all secured wins in tonight’s games in the FIBA Champions League, during the second round.
Tortona once again demonstrated their unpredictability, causing a minor upset by defeating Tofas on the road with a score of 88-80. After giving Milano a tough time in the Italian league, Tortona delivered a quality performance in this game as well.
Indeed, it wasn’t that way from the beginning, as Tofas was the team that controlled the game in the opening minutes. However, in the third quarter, the visitors regrouped and established a more comfortable lead, which they maintained until the end.
The standout performers in the winning team were Tomasso Baldasso with 16 points and Mike Daum with 15 points and 10 rebounds. On the losing side, Cassius Winston impressed with 19 points.
Another visiting team claimed win tonight, with Dijon overpowering Opava 104-67. There were no doubts about the final outcome, it was merely a question of the margin in favor of the French team.
Aleksandar Lazic and Giovan Oniangue both contributed 17 points. In Opava, the duo of Adam Pechacek and Jan Svandrlik each scored 14 points.
In other games, Promitheas defeated Rytas 78-76, and Strasbourg bested Oostende 81-68.
