To make matters worse for the Nuggets, they had a solid start to the game. However, with slightly weaker defense, they allowed the Sacramento Kings to make a comeback in the final minutes of the quarter, leading by only three points at the first break. The game was almost decided in the second quarter when Sacramento played excellent defense, establishing a double-digit lead during this period.
Both quarters afterward belonged to the home team, who consistently increased their lead over the opponent, never putting the victory in doubt. In the end, the difference was a whopping 29 points.
The standout performer for the winning team was Domantas Sabonis, who recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. Malik Monk scored 23 points. As for the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic scored 23 points.
