Unicaja secured a comfortable win in the Liga Endesa Round 29 by defeating Zaragoza 83:72 at home.
Following their qualification for the FIBA Champions League Final Four, Unicaja continued their excellent form in the domestic championship. They dispatched Zaragoza and notched their 24th win, maintaining their position as leaders of Europe’s top national league.
The team from Malaga settled the outcome of the game by halftime, leading 49:28 after 20 minutes of play. They extended their lead further, and the win was never in doubt. The visitors managed to reduce the deficit in the final quarter.
Tyson Carter and Nihad Djedovic led the scoring for Unicaja, each contributing 13 points. In the Zaragoza lineup, Mitchell Watt was the only player with a double-digit performance, scoring 13 points. Miralem Sulejmanovic added eight points, while Dejan Kravic chipped in with six.
Murcia has also secured its ticket to Belgrade and the FIBA Champions League Final Four, mirroring Unicaja’s convincing win in the 28th round. They defeated Palencia 90:77 at home. Howard Sant-Roos led the winners with 19 points.
Nemanja Radovic contributed one point less, while Dylan Ennis added 12 points. On the opposing side, Dutchman Keye van der Vuurst de Vries led with 22 points.
Manresa clinched an away win against Obradoiro, triumphing 94:86. Tenerife secured a win at home over Bilbao by 101:84.
