Unics defeated Enisey by 93:69 on the road in the VTB League’s 31st round, securing their 24th win of the season.
Only in the first quarter did we witness a closely contested game. By the second quarter, Unics had built a double-digit lead, which they only extended further as the game progressed. Unics played a fantastic third quarter, winning it decisively by 26:9 and dispelling any doubts about the outcome of the game.
The top performer for the winning team was Marcos Knight with 19 points, followed by the experienced Erick Green with 16. Once again, one of the best players on the court was Nenad Dimitrijevic with 14 points and 6 assists. Xavier Rathan-Mayes led Enisey with an impressive 28 points.
This marked Enisey’s fifth consecutive loss, and in their next game, they will travel to Moscow to face CSKA. Unics will host Zenit in the next round.
In the second game of today’s VTB League program, CSKA easily defeated Parma from Perm at home by 96:72.
CSKA started strong right from the beginning of the game and were determined to settle the question of the winner within the first ten minutes. They won the first quarter 21:12, and although Parma attempted to stage a comeback in the second, playing better basketball, the halftime score stood at a close 37:35 in favor of CSKA. CSKA significantly improved their performance in the second half, winning the third quarter 29:17, leaving no doubt about the outcome of the game by the end.
The standout player of the game was Livio Jean-Charles with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Olivier Hanlan also had a stellar performance for CSKA with 22 points. Former Anadolu Efes player, Amath M’Baye, also reached double digits with 14 points. On the losing side, Aleksandr Platunov scored 20 points, while Richard Solomon contributed 15.
CSKA is now tied for first place with Unics, both teams holding a record of 24-7. In the next round, the Moscow team will host Enisey, while Parma will visit Lokomotiv Kuban.
