Uros Trifunovic has shared his expectations ahead of the eighth round of the EuroLeague, where Partizan will be playing against Bayern.
The Serbian basketball player emphasizes that the black and white team must forget about the match against Igokea and focus on the upcoming challenges.
“We must not regret the loss to Igokea now. It was certainly unacceptable, but on Wednesday, we have the opportunity to redeem ourselves. It will be a very important match for us, playing as if it’s our home ground because of many of our fans. We want to win a crucial game fueled by their energy,” said Uros Trifunovic, adding:
“We have to be aggressive, know where and how to attack them, and how to defend. The essence is to translate that theoretical part onto the court. What the coach demands, we give our all to implement. There’s not much philosophy in it.”
The player from Partizan then spoke about the qualities of the Munich team.
“They are the second-best rebounding team in the league when it comes to offensive rebounds. They have quite tall players who are good in that aspect of the game. We need to regulate that and stop their transition game, especially Edwards and Francisco,” he said.
Trifunovic, in an interview with Sport Klub, also highlighted how often the black and white team has been unlucky in the final moments.
“We haven’t been lucky in the closing moments of some games, losing them in the last attacks, the last seconds… We were only lucky against Fenerbahce. We know we can be much better, what our capacity is, and how far we can go. We don’t need to talk too much, we need to work.”
