Valencia secured its third consecutive win in the domestic league by defeating Andorra 86:82 in the 14th round of the Liga Endesa at home.
Valencia managed to win at home primarily through better performance in the second half. The crucial moment was an 8:0 run when the score was 77:79. Nate Reuvers hit a three-pointer for an 80:79 lead, and then Chris Jones scored five consecutive points, securing his team’s tenth win of the season and placing them in third position on the table.
Brandon Davies and Kassius Robertson were the top scorers for the home team with 16 points each. Chris Jones, the game-winner, contributed 15 points. For Andorra, experiencing their tenth defeat, Jean Claudio Montero was the top scorer with 19 points, Croatian basketball player Marin Maric scored 15, and Adam Somogyi added 12 points.
Valencia will host Partizan in the 15th round of the EuroLeague on Tuesday.
