Baskonia’s basketball player Vanja Marinkovic spoke to Partizan TV just before the clash of his team with the black and white, concerning the EuroLeague and the sixth round.
Marinkovic will try to break the streak of five consecutive losses in all competitions with the new coach Dusko Ivanovic, precisely against the club where he once wore the captain’s armband as a very young player.
“We had a rough start to the EuroLeague; we had three home games, and we lost all three, which wasn’t the case last year. We also have some injury problems, and a coaching change happened. A lot of things have happened in a short period. There’s time for us to bounce back; it’s still early in the season,” said Marinkovic.
The former Partizan guard also assessed the quality of today’s opponent, who has recorded two wins in the first five rounds.
“Good, great. Maybe even better than last year at this point. They’ve won two big games, which is crucial. Frank Kaminsky and some other players are still getting accustomed. Right now, the team looks very good,” emphasized Vanja Marinkovic.
The matchup between Baskonia and Partizan is scheduled for tonight at 20:30.
