Vasilije Micic, a guard for the Charlotte Hornets, played a masterful game against the Phoenix Suns in the NBA.
Micic scored 21 points, but the highlight of the game was his move when he dribbled past Kevin Durant, causing him to slip.
“I was lucky. Durant didn’t feel like playing today. He’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen, one of my favorite players. I’m 30 years old, this won’t change my career. I’ve slipped a few times in my career, especially in the NBA. Nothing major.
I play in the moment, find my rhythm. I’m not a big fan of statistics, although I know I played a good game. In the long run, it doesn’t make me happy. This is a completely new challenge for me, I knew all these guys from the media. I was aggressive in the paint and it led to 21 points,” Vasilije Micic said, despite his team’s loss.
Durant fell victim to the move by the Serbian guard, who dribbled past him and disrupted his balance, a topic that was discussed even after the game. However, the Phoenix Suns ended up defeating the Charlotte Hornets, so that incident took a backseat. Despite that, the American forward paid tribute to the Serbian player.
“He’s crafty, knows how to play his position. He’s smart, he took advantage of opportunities. I’m happy for him,” Durant emphasized.
