Vassilis Spanoulis has confirmed that Giannis Antetokounmpo will play for the Greek national team in the upcoming Olympic qualifying tournament.
The coach highlighted that “The Greek Freak” has recovered from his injury and will be on the roster of players aiming to secure a spot at the Olympics.
Having NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo on the team will give Greece an advantage, especially with the support of their fans, as the qualifying tournament will be held in Greece.
Greece will start its journey in Group B, facing Egypt and the Dominican Republic. To secure a ticket to the Olympics, they will then have to overcome Slovenia, New Zealand, or Croatia.
