Victor Claver has ended his successful career, as confirmed by his last club, Valencia, through their official website.
The Spaniard has decided to say goodbye to basketball after 18 years. He hung up his sneakers after being the captain of Valencia for the past three seasons, where he also began his career.
As a young player, he quickly established himself in the “La Taronja” team. This was followed by an NBA stint with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he spent three years. Afterward, he moved to Russia, playing first for Khimki and then Lokomotiv Kuban, with whom he reached the EuroLeague Final Four in 2016.
He returned to his native Spain that same year, donning the Barcelona jersey and spending five years with the team. He concluded his career back with his original club.
