Victor Wembanyama was part of the San Antonio Spurs’ lineup in a preseason game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The “Mamuze” were defeated with a score of 122:121, after relinquishing a double-digit lead to their opponents.
Vasilije Micic did not play, and it was interesting to watch Davis Bertans in a Thunder jersey facing the team where he spent three years of his career.
The beginning of the game was completely dominated by Greg Popovich’s team, as evidenced by their 70:51 lead in the second quarter. However, the Spurs’ offense struggled in the later part of the match, allowing Oklahoma to make up a significant deficit and secure the win.
Chet Holmgren led them to victory with 21 points and nine rebounds. Victor Wembanyama had a strong performance with 20 points and five rebounds in 19 minutes on the court. Latvian sharpshooter Bertans contributed 12 points, all from three-point range (4/6).
