Dejan Radonjic led his Bahcesehir team to a win over Galatasaray at home by 90:89, in the Turkish Super League.
We witnessed an expectedly tense game. Galatasaray led for practically the entire game, holding a 12-point lead at the end of the third quarter. However, Dejan Radonjic’s team didn’t give up, gradually closing the gap and bringing the game to an uncertain finish. Galatasaray was in the lead until seven seconds before the end, but then the hero for the home team emerged – Jerry Boutsiele, who sealed the win for Bahcesehir with a dunk.
The top scorer for Bahcesehir was Tyler Cavanaugh with 26 points, while the game’s hero, Jerry Boutsiele, added 16. Klemen Prepelic led Galatasaray with 21 points, and David McCormack contributed 16 points.
With this win, Bahcesehir has entered the playoff race, currently sitting in ninth place with a record of 11-16, trailing Buyukcekmece, who is eighth, by just one win. On the other hand, Galatasaray is in sixth place with a record of 13-14.
In the next round, Bahcesehir will visit the bottom-placed Samsunspor, while Galatasaray will face a big derby against Besiktas.
