Mathias Lessort will be representing Panathinaikos in the upcoming season, but he continues to closely follow events in the black and white camp.
In a friendly match held at the open-air Tasmajdan stadium, Partizan outplayed Fuenlabrada in a spectacular atmosphere. However, the result was not the primary focus, and what caught the attention of the former “Parni Valjak” center was the song sung by fans and players after the game.
Traditionally, after every match, the basketball players led by coach Zeljko Obradovic celebrate their victories with the fans through song. These moments also occur even when they face defeats, which was not the case this time.
Team captain Kevin Punter and his deputy Danilo Andjusic joined forces to sing one of the songs. Judging by the reaction, the American guard managed to sing in Serbian for the first time, to which Mathias Lessort couldn’t resist commenting.
The club shared the video on social media, and Lessort commented, saying, “Stop trying to be like me, man…”

This was the fourth friendly match for the black and white team during their preseason preparations. Previously, they won an international tournament in Banja Luka and Laktasi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Igokea. There, they defeated Hapoel Jerusalem, Turk Telekom, and CSKA in the final.
Their next challenge will be the ABA Super Cup, which will be played in Podgorica this year. It’s worth noting that Crvena zvezda will not be part of this tournament. In addition to Partizan, other teams competing in the tournament include Budućnost, Cedevita Olimpija, FMP, Mega, Zadar, Igokea, and SC Derby.
