Vincent Collet, the head coach of the French national team, spoke after the win over the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team with a score of 74:64.
The experienced French coach recalled the game where Bosnia and Herzegovina triumphed in Sarajevo just before the EuroBasket, and he interestingly compared the former and current French teams.
“We knew it would be very difficult, the atmosphere was very tough for us. Bosnia hasn’t forgotten the game from a year and a half ago, and they expected the same thing. I read that the coach said they know us well, but we are not the same team as 18 months ago. They shot brilliantly, but we saw that they struggled to find open shots.
We controlled Musa excellently, and my players put good pressure on him. We started the second half well, and we found Guerschon and Vincent better and we didn’t do that in the first half, and maybe we could have avoided a comeback in the last quarter,” said Vincent Collet.
