Vit Krejci, 37th pick from 2020 NBA draft, released by Atlanta Hawks. The 23-year-old player was traded to the Hawks last summer.
Atlanta Hawks have officially released guard Vit Krejci, according to a press release from the team. Krejci, 23, was on a non-guaranteed contract for the 2023-24 season. Despite his potential, the Hawks already have a full roster of 15 players on guaranteed standard contracts
The Czech athlete, chosen as the 37th overall pick in the 2020 draft, had a challenging start to his professional NBA career due to an ACL injury during his first post-draft season.
After signing with the Oklahoma City Thunder, he managed to play 30 games in his rookie season. During his time in Atlanta, he appeared in 29 games last season and averaged 1.2 points over 5.7 minutes per game.
Vit Krejci spent the summer with the Czech National Team, playing three games at Estonia’s 2023 Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament, averaging 14 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.3 rebounds.
