Derek Willis will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to an injury sustained in the match against Partizan.
The American basketball player scored 10 points in the game against the “Black and Whites” but had to leave the court after 18 minutes due to a hand injury. Derek Willis underwent surgery today, and the recovery period is expected to last six to eight weeks.
The former Reyer Venezia player has been performing exceptionally well since the beginning of the new season, as evidenced by an average of eight points in the EuroLeague and 13.5 points in the Turkish Super League.
Derek Willis started his professional career with Gottingen, and he has played for Ulm, Brindisi, Joventut, and finally, Venezia.
Anadolu Efes currently holds a record of five wins and five losses in the elite competition, placing them as the 10th best team in the standings.
In addition to Willis, Erdem Can is also without the availability of Elijah Bryant and Tibor Pleiss.
