In the ABA League Round 20, Cedevita Olimpija defeated FMP at the Stozice Arena with a score of 82-74.
Cedevita Olimpija started the game slightly better, but FMP quickly caught up through Matic Rebec, equalizing the score at 11-11. With good sequences from Justin Cobbs and Jaka Blazic, the Ljubljana team managed to finish the first quarter better, leading 21-15.
Rebec continued to play excellently in the following quarters, and a 9-0 run brought FMP back into the game (24-23). However, Cedevita Olimpija quickly responded with a 7-0 run, taking control of the game and going into halftime with a seven-point lead (42-35).
The Slovenian team started the third quarter with nine consecutive points, building a 16-point lead. This prompted a quick timeout from Sasa Nikitovic. It was expected that the home team would practically seal the win by the end of the quarter, but FMP managed to create a 14-2 run and fully get back into the game.
Matic Rebec shone in the later stages, and FMP even managed to take the lead in the middle of the fourth quarter (68-67). However, the visiting team seemed to run out of steam. With a 10-0 run just over two minutes before the end, the outcome of the game was decided in favor of the home team.
